I don’t mean the color, I mean environmental. So I am subscribed to Cycle World and in one of their issues they had a blurb about some “Eco” friendly scoots (by scoots I mean motorcycle) and of all of them the Brammo is what caught my attention. I checked it out online and even Tubed it, yes “Tubed”. I liked what I saw and I think that it is reasonably priced for what it is. I read some remarks about it from some people and some just don’t get it. The Brammo should not be seen as a long range riding motorcycle, rather an eco-friendly commuter. Most people know that electric vehicles cannot go long distances so why would you try? No, the Brammo can only go 35-40 miles ( around 64.3 kms, app.) so I wouldn’t take it on a trip from Montreal to Toronto. I would take it around downtown Montreal from the West Island or from Ville St Bruno for example and then plug it in at work. Basically, if you look at the picture, the area within the red circle is basically a safe zone on where you can ride the Brammo to and from without worrying.

They say it’s a “Zero” emissions vehicle but some people do have a point in saying that if your electricity is provided by coal burning power plants then “Zero” emissions might be false and lowered emissions might be a better suited title. In Quebec, seeing as the electricity is provided by Hydro then “Zero” emissions may be more truthful. Whatever the case, I think the Brammo and other electric alternatives is a positive step, there will always be naysayers out there and that whatever they think is just that, whatever they think. Once the Brammo becomes available to the Canadian market, well, let’s just say that I’ll have an alternative to think about.
